Treasure Craft was founded in 1945 in Gardena, California by Alfred A. Levin. He began his business by selling items manufactured by local California potters. In the early 1950s they were manufacturing their own ceramics and had several small locations throughout southern California. In 1956 operations were consolidated to Compton. In November 1988, Treasure Craft was acquired by the Pfaltzgraff Company of York, Pennsylvania. In 1995 the company ceased all operations in California. From 1998 through 1999 ownership changed and they specialized in limited edition products and large licensed cookie jars from Disney. In 1999, Treasure Craft was sold again to Zak Designs. As of 2010 there were several licensed Disney jars that were made for and sold exclusively at Tuesday Morning Company. Notable product offerings include southwest looks such as "Taos" and collectible cookie jars of film characters such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
