Haeger Potteries is headquartered on the clay rich banks of the Illinois Fox River. Founded in 1871 by David H. Haeger as the Dundee Brickyard and later Haeger Bricks. They are the oldest and largest production pottery company. Haeger growth was attributed to the millions of bricks they produced rebuilding much of Chicago following the great Chicago Fire. In the 1900's they began producing clay flower pots for the florist trace and lather a line of glazed artware. The company name was changed from Haeger Bricks to Haeger Potteries in 1912 and the rest is history.
